CAMAGÜEY.- As soon as you cross the main door of the Base Business Unit of the Wholesale Drug Marketing, located on the Central Highway (West), in the city of Camagüey, the environment that is breathed is of work, both in the offices, where the Drug distribution lists, such as in warehouses where loads of sanitary pads are prepared and products are packaged for community pharmacies.

The journalistic objective is to know the contribution of the twenty members of the Youth Technical Brigade (BTJ) of the center, a grassroots organization with an outstanding position among the similar in the province, and the way to manage to avoid the paralysis of the means of transport and ensure the distribution cycles in the 145 community pharmacies and 10 points of sale, registered in their controls and, at the same time, the orders of health care units, preferably hospitals.

From the beginning of the tour of the facility and of the dialogue with Juan José Llamos Pedroso, head of the BTJ, and with managers and other workers of the center, the name of Breidys Gómez González, one of the members of the youth organization, appeared with his own light in the collective.

The 33-year-old man is recognized by Yizel Hernández López, quality specialist and head of the Science and Technology Forum, as a well-rounded, disciplined, hard-working and modest person who spares no hours to work and that the delivery cycle is met.

Breidys is multifaceted. To him, as to all wholesale distributors, those who do not know the labor nomenclature qualify these workers as drivers; however, these personnel have a different profile, that of being endowed with a certificate of good practices.

To the outstanding endorsement of the industrious thirty-year-old is added the delivery of the status of Youth for Life, conferred by the National UJC for the role played during the confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Norlaidy Medina Viamonte, a woman of excellence, chemical engineer and commercial specialist of the Unidad Empresarial de Base (UEB), does not miss the opportunity to also speak about young people a few hours after the new anniversary of the founding of the avant-garde political organization of the new generation and especially Breidys, whose example spreads to the collective.

"He has recovered several vehicles of the entity. At the moment, he is involved in the transportation of the tank car. A moment ago, we were called from the Ana Betancourt maternal hospital to raise the need for alcohol, and as Camagüey does not have a distillery, he will travel to Ciego de Ávila or Puerto Padre, in Las Tunas to look for the product to ensure that there are no damages in the healthcare unit ”, explained Medina Viamonte.

ENCOMED REACHES THE FAREST PLACES

The president of the BTJ pointed out to illustrate that the customer comes first: "We go to places where milk and bread carts do not enter, such as La Yagruma, Sierra Maestra, Galbis, Oriente Rebelde and El Dagame ...".

In their commercial operations they are governed by the rules established by the Medicines Control Center, with the maxim of the business organization and the slogan: "Committed to the health of the people", a practical way of highlighting the disposition of the workers in the field, to guarantee not only the distribution, but also the emergencies that arise in hospitals, by locating, transferring, and locating it in the institution, using software equipped with this provision for them.

The official clarified that in the case of pharmacies they are governed by distribution guidelines, because they do not have the necessary transport logistics, facing the same problems of tires, batteries and fuel.

Just 72 hours ago, in a night session, in expression of the selfless work, they received reagents and supplies for the laboratories, both for taking samples and for the molecular biology center.

Last year's sales totaled 76 million pesos, a figure that will vary from the changes introduced in the monetary system that also impacts the sector.

There, where there is a solid interconnection between the BTJ and the ANIR, there is a constant coming and going of the workers. Several ANIR's members have deserved the status of Star of El Mayor, an award conferred by the Provincial Bureau of that organization, promoter of the recovery and manufacture of spare parts and of innovating and rationalizing equipment and machines, under the influence of the thought of Che, architect of that popular movement.
