Meeting Eduardo Rosales Ruiz in his gallery on San Juan de Dios Street or enjoying his company guarantees an experience far from ordinary. Surrounded by his works, amidst the unmistakable aroma of coffee used as pigment and the texture of cassava turned into canvas, one realizes they are in the presence of something unique. Rosales does not merely paint; he tells stories, rescues memories, and invites us to explore our senses.

The 34th edition of the audiovisual exhibition El Almacén de la Imagen will be held from December 18th to 22nd in this city, and it is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC).

 Joel Jover Llenderroso, one of the most influential artists in Cuban art, returns to the Havana Biennial, this time as part of the exhibition honoring the 40th anniversary of the event. The exhibition, curated by Nelson Herrera Ysla, brings together 26 artists at the Cultural Station Línea and 18, a space that celebrates the careers of those who have marked the history of the Biennial.

 Carlos Díaz, true to his reputation as an unrelenting provocateur, arrived at the Camagüey National Theatre Festival with Réquiem por Yarini, a work overflowing with audacity and visual opulence. His always-controversial style once again challenges conventions and shakes the audience, this time with a stark reflection on power, morality, and desire.

In a space within the Café at Cine Encanto, I had the opportunity to talk with the Peruvian artist Sonia Cunliffe. The images from her video art "Operación Peter Pan. De ausencia en ausencia " (Peter Pan Operation. From Absence to Absence) still echoed in the room, a work as intimate as it is devastating, projected moments earlier on a screen just behind us.
