CAMAGÜEY. - “The track went out in one day. I was dismayed thinking about all the persons who I care for”, tells Dawlyn William Aldana Boudet, the author of the ballad: ¡Quédate! (Stay!), who from this city joined musicians taken root in Cuba, the United States, Mexico, Colombia and China.

He wrote at the end of March, the month of his birthday 34. In addition to the letter and the music, he assumed part of the production, of the miscellany and the mastering of a work that comes like sound-track for the breath in times of the COVID-19.

He has composed about 50 songs, of which an affectionate space they occupy his songs for children, collated by the project The music and I, for the social persons insertion with disorders of the autistic spectrum.

In his 16 years of career, because he began a course before graduating as guitarist soloist of the Conservatory of Music José White, Dawlyn has gained contests of interpretation as the Festival Boleros de Oro.

Now he puts also the voice to: ¡Quédate! and he leads an occasional band of brilliant musicians: Yosmel Montejo (bass), Michel Hernández (guitar), Daymar Calvario (piano and arrangements), Iván Llanes (percussion), Adalberto Lluch (guitar), Yasel Barreras (saxo), Eni Rodríguez (violoncello), Fabio Rojas (drum pad); Joel Sierra, Yoel Lluesma and Giondano Bastián (violins); Yisel Acosta (choir) and Jerry Ramos (mixies of the strings)

Are all the musicians from Camagüey?

─Almost all, except for Fabio Rojas, Colombian taken root in the United States, and Jerry Ramos, sound technician who from New Jersey mixed the strings so that I could receive them like one track and this way save resources and time while downloading that for us can seem endless. From Camagüey we join Michel Hernández, Rodolfo Caraballo, Heidy Cepero, Ernesto Castillo (Nesto), Ernesto López (Toto), Raúl Trujillo, Reynier Moreu and Pedro E. Cruz. The last three persons work at the Graphic - Advertising Workshop Imatech.

In the thanks you say that the guitarist Michel Hernández took this song of the hands to begin to walk it: in what sense?

─Michel and I we are friend. A pair of capricious, but we have given in the target often for the confidence and the complicity that we have. After doing the song I went to his house to change of hands the guitar, to put it in his. I wanted that he heard it to see what would occur to him and he always left his stamp. Over there began his work, the musicians who are in other countries.

Tell us other details of the process …

─ These artists in general are my friends for years, we grew and studied together the majority. The idea was to do this with musicians of the whole world, to invite artists that I admire of the panorama of the national culture but they never answered my messages. I called Yosmel Montejo (bass) and we made one tripartite with Iván Llanes (percussion). We were adding up persons who signed up without vacillating up to coming to Daymar Calvario (piano) who created a chat in group with the people who occurred to him to specify the vision of the song. Also Rodolfo Caraballo collaborated with the design of the front for the song and Nesto7 Music as publisher of the audio-visual one.

Almost in the end a child goes out: who is?

─Dylan is one of the children of Daymar and Calvario, that he touches the piano in the video who was co-arranger with me of the song. According to his father he fell in love with the choir of the song and learned it rapidly. He says that he sees the video at every hour and that he is my fan number one.

What role did Heidy Cepero interpret?

─ I know Heidy Cepero since we were studying in the Vocational School of Art Luis Casas Romero, EVA. She is a voice authorized in the field of the investigation and the musicology. We are friend and it is not the first work where we collaborate one with other. The purpose was also from the first moment to overlap to diverse artistic declarations whenever it was not implying going out of house so that the message was real. I sent her the song as everyone else, and everybody did their part. To those of the advertising workshop I sent them the design for the impression of the front and the pullover that I used for the audio-visual.

And the family Varona-Padrón?

─In the house of this family is located in a temporary way my small study. They supported during countless hours my meetings of recording, edition, miscellany and mastering. I am grateful infinitely.

In this quarantine: do you receive institutional attention?

─Many of the Camagüey musicians we are subsidized and simultaneously commercials. Till now the company (Provincial Center of the Music) answers to the agreed for this stage of quarantine and I receive at least this month hundred per cent of my salary as subsidized worker.

Have you thought anything for the project devoted to the autistic children?

─Each one is a song or several, everything begins from all the thing you want to achieve with them. For these children one works after an individual diagnosis and the task is always to create skills for the language and communication development. I am still motivated to make songs for them with the project The music. I owe a song to the people, so that it knows about what the disorder of the autistic spectrum is and supports instead of considering them to be sick or slightly capable persons.

I loved this expression: "for the hope to return from the pain to the kiss that we once gave each other”. Do you prepare any quarantine book of poems?

─I would never consider myself to be a poet. My friend writers know of some things because in shows I have read one or other text. It does not seem to me that during the quarantine a book of poems is going to go out, nevertheless yes I am going to finish a lot of work of that I am in love but that I could not have done it for not having sufficient time, as well as any tracks that I am interested in recording and in producing for me. There are people hoping that everything should finish to continue with our projects.

What is the first thing that you will do when it finishes the confinement?

─I miss playing alive, the heat of the public. That will be another song perhaps. It is possible that it exists already. It will be to record it this time with El Son Entero, I do not know. But it will be to celebrate with more music the first thing that I do.

Stay!

Lyrics and music: Dawlyn William Aldana Boudet

Close your door and close your window.

Open the heart and the soul.

There´s nothing to look for out there.

Contain the breath.

Listen to your beats inside.

Keep the calm.

It is not just your heart

who beats impatiently.

when all life

is threatened with death.

For you and for me.

For the dreams that we construct.

For the hope to return

from the pain, to the kiss

that once we gave each other.

For your race, for the humanity

your grandparents and your children.

While everything happens

listen to my friendly claim.

Stay at home!.

Keep your desire,

you will win saving you for tomorrow.

Because everything happens.

Be brave.

The prudent one is hoarded.

It is time to snatch the "Crown"

from this monarch.
