   Direct Flights between Italy and Camagüey Resumed

HAVANA, Cuba.-(acn) With the arrival of 130 Italian travelers on January 1st at the Ignacio Agramonte International Airport of Camagüey, the link between that city and Italy -one of the main countries sending tourists to this eastern province- was resumed after over a decade without flights between these destinations.

HAVANA, Cuba. - (acn) The 4% increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year is a good result, in spite of the international economic  crisis and the persistent economic, financial and commercial blockade of the  United States, asserted on Tuesday Army General Raul Castro, President of  the Cuban councils of State and Ministers.


Havana.- Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez highlighted the results of Cuba's foreign policy in year 2015, and announced new achievements for next year, as well as advances in the relations with the United States.


Havana.- About 16 refineries in nine provinces are grinding in the 2015-16 sugar cane harvest, which seeks efficiency despite an unstable weather, informed sources of the Azcuba Sugar Group.

Camagüey.- This year, the province of Camagüey destined more than 600 thousand pesos for the continuity of the program of repair and maintenance of nursing homes and grandparents' houses (facilities where old people stay during the day and conduct activities together), with the aim of raising the comfort and quality of life in these facilities.
