CAMAGÜEY.- The transformer take-off towards which is headed the tourist sector in the province demands of prepared persons, postulate in that there assumes a preponderant role the faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte across its Tourism Department.

The MS. c Ramón Hernández de la Torre, holder of this area in the high studies house, said to Adelante Digital that the current registration is of 883 students, from them 321 in regular courses, number continued by 322 of courses by meetings in the central head office.

Of the Municipal University Centers, (CUM), that of Esmeralda was the first one in assimilating the formation Bachelors' of Tourism, since three academic years, with an inscription of 180 pupils, while in the present calendar Nuevitas joined with 60 pupils, to which they gain access hard-working, other social segments and those persons taken refuge in the labor option of the private sector.

The opening of this education in both territories of the North of the province seeks to bring over to the specialized personnel to the counterfoil of development of the sector, until 2030, concentrated on the region of Nuevitas and on the Northen Keys, on Key Cruz, portion of Esmeralda visited by Fidel Castro on September 22nd and 23rd, 1989.

The manager announced that in July, 2019 the Bachelors' first graduation will take place with the departure of 44 pupils of the form of day courses, while he specified that the cloister is shaped by teachers of the university, of Formatur and specialists of the Ministry of Tourism in the territory, properly categorized.

The studies program receives the subjects with the profile of the profession, like tourism and hospitality, commercialization, marketing and tourist forms, among others, without neglecting the integral formation in matters of Marxism, economy and national safety.

The Bachelors of tourism can work as managers in different areas of the sector: tour operators, guides or as maître, responsible person of planning, organizing, developing, controlling and managing the activities that are carried out in the service.
