The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Brazil and Angola, in this order, are the countries most favored with the work of the Camagüeyans, who make the dream come true of attending the neediest and excluded persons.

Only in Venezuela 2 063 volunteers or technical assistants work, and they do it in the so-called Barrio Adentro and Operación Milagro (free eye surgery program), as kind of fruits that gives the harvest of the solidarity among the Cuban people and that of this brother country, with major presence in the states of Apure, Aragua, Guárico, Carabobo, Zulia y Miranda.

The Bolivar homeland welcomes Bachelors of Technologies of the Health, specialists of Therapy and Rehabilitation, integral general practitioners, lab technicians, nurses and many other workers.

The Cubans, we appreciate this type of service in Health like something very natural; nevertheless, not few ones in the world are astonished at our altruism, because this is a country where one neither asks the patient for money nor even ask him either about his social origin, creeds or race.

It is registered May 23rd, 1963 as the departure from Cuba of the first group of professionals of the Health towards Algeria, to start the Cuban medical mission in the history of the Revolution; nevertheless, this small country realizes the first medical help in the year 1960 on having sent to Chile a medical brigade to attend the harmed ones of an earthquake.

It means that for 55 years the Cuban archipelago has given its services to the most needed in Africa, Latin America and Asia, and since then, the Camagüeyans have given their availability, even, in this major expression of solidarity in 1998 after the scourge of the hurricane Mitch to different Central American countries, as it happened in Honduras and Guatemala, in addition to the clash to the hemorrhagic fever of the virus of the Ebola in West Africa.
