CAMAGÜEY - The National Bus Company will open a new service from Monday 21, with the opening of several daily routes to six municipalities in this province.
As confirmed by Wesley Vázquez Pérez, director of the Business Base Unit (UEB for its initials in Spanish) of the territory, the benefited destinations are the towns of Esmeralda, Guáimaro, Nuevitas and Santa Cruz del Sur, where two daily trips will be covered, from Monday to Saturday, one in the morning session, and the other in the afternoons.
These departures, conceived with a double crew, also include the trips to Florida and Vertientes, whose routes cover Sundays, although, set only in the mornings. In all cases, the boarding point from the capital city of Camagüey is located in the Train-Bus Station.
The director said that the temporary decision is due to the availability of technical means and fuel, which had been assigned after the beginning of the inter-provincial transfers, now interrupted again by the resurgence of the COVID-19 in several points of the country, especially in Havana and Ciego de Ávila.
The mode of transportation that will be implemented will meet all the requirements established in the hygienic-sanitary protocols for this type of air-conditioned, high-comfort vehicle, and will reinforce the internal movement of passengers, affected by multiple limitations with parts and other accessories.
We insist that, in order to board the buses, the client is obliged to have his corresponding mask. In addition, as secondary preventive measures, both footwear and hands will be disinfected.
This entity also pays attention to the Health system and the national sports movement, since as a result of the pandemic several teams of the country are training here, in view of the next Olympic Games in Japan, which have been postponed for the coming 2021.
