CAMAGÜEY.- During this Sunday’s dynamic test, the preparations and alternatives of the 1730 electoral polling stations of this province were verified, which showed that this territory is ready to develop the Constitutional referendum of the next February 24th, when the new Magna Carta of Cuba will be validated.
According to Mariano Basulto Pérez, president of the Provincial Electoral Commission, the more than 11000 authorities who will participate in this important process, are duly prepared and have the required documentation.
Attached to Law 72, which legitimizes the transparency of our electoral system, these men and women of the people are trained to provide voters with the necessary information on how to exercise the vote in a direct and secret way, in correspondence with the constitutional guarantees established in Cuba.
It is estimated that more than 594,000 Camagüey´s citizens and others who are temporarily in the territory, go to the polls, hence creating the necessary conditions to locate special polling stations in terminals, points of embarkation, hospitals and other public spaces.
In order to guarantee the flow of information from the school to the corresponding levels, the mechanisms were adjusted, through fixed and alternative telephony, and radio amateurs, among other variants of communication, according to the characteristics of each territory.
Among the assurance was also evaluated the service of electric energy, the vitality of the generators, the state of the means of transport and the operation of the centers of elaboration that guarantee the feeding of the personnel that works in the polling stations and the electoral commissions.
With the dynamic test made this Sunday in Camagüey, were identified the issues that need to be resolved before February 24, when our people will lead another massive day of elections, in response to the deep transformations that takes place in Cuba in the constitutional order.
