CAMAGÜEY.- The premiere of a large-format show with important novelties and two smaller presentations stands out among the projections of the Camagüey's Folkloric Ballet in 2025.
Its director, Reinaldo Echemendía Estrada, explained that this year will involve a lot of work and dedication on the part of the artists, who will strive to shine in each performance.
He also reported that they are preparing to participate in the Fernando Alonso dance contest and celebration days, scheduled to be held in April, and in May they will have a special concert dedicated to the centenary of the Matamoros trio.
Other events that make up its agenda in this period are the San Juan Camagüeyano 2025 and the Olorum Festival, dedicated to the Hispanic-Cuban culture and the Tambores del Alba, an excellent opportunity to enjoy various musical and dance proposals.
Boleros de Oro, the anniversary day of the Ballet of Camagüey, and the Festival "A bailar en la casa del trompo" will be other spaces that the Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey will have to demonstrate its scenic cleanliness, its skill and its creative power.
A rumba performance and conferences with the theme associated with rumba and the rumba dancers of today will also occupy the work of a company that continually highlights the values of Cuban culture through rhythms from African roots.
