CAMAGÜEY.- The venue is once again oxygenated with popular culture, like every year during these days of February. The 510th anniversary of the town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe motivates for the tenth time the inauguration of the Art and Crafts Fair at the Fairgrounds of this city. Teatro de Luz, together with the talent of the Folkloric Ballet, illuminated the beginning of this great festival that, for the first time, is projected internationally.
"We are preparing to be an international fair. This year we have the participation of representatives from four countries: Peru, Mexico, Panama and Russia. Regular visitors and new ones also arrived from several provinces," reports Beatriz Ochoa Pupo, Communication Specialist of the Fund. Cuban Museum of Cultural Assets in Camagüey.
Among the novelties of this fair is its extension to other sites, in addition to the venue.
"The Cuban Association of Craftmen and Artists and the Cultural Assets Fund are going to function as sub-headquarters of the fair. We will also be in Florida and in various communities in transformation."
The businesses show in their stands, goldsmithing, footwear, ceramics, carpentry, costume jewelry, clothing and natural cosmetics and hairdressing products. Toys, furniture and household goods are also offered, which are in high demand. The presence of projects such as ¡Qué Negra!, Dressing the Age and Mariela Color stands out.
From 10:00 a.m. and until 6:00 p.m. The venue will return to the movement of steps in its pavilions. This long-awaited fair is a true creative space and a great commercial opportunity, which will open the doors to other markets and, at the same time, promote local enterprises.
