“This time, young people have responded with their participation. And I think it is something very positive because they are the ones in charge of elevating Cuban visual arts nowadays. The work of choosing the six best pieces was very hard and choosing the main prize was even harder still. That says about the quality that the event has reached”, expressed one of the members of the jury, Pedro Quiñones Triana to Adelante Digital.
Also, collaterally several cultural institutions granted gifts for the best. In the case of the Provincial Library Julio Antonio Mella, the Universal Art Gallery Alejo Carpentier, Fidelio Ponce de León from the Office of Camagüey City Historian (OHCC), the Miniaturist Art Project Colibrí and the Provincial Center of Culture Homes granted the prize to Camilo González, Jorge Luis Pulido Álvarez, Louis Arturo Aguirre, Yaimel Castañeda and Roger Pons.
On the other hand, the National Movement of Miniaturist Art, the Arts Academy Vicentina de la Torre, the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), the Cuban Fund of Cultural Property (FBC), the Cuban Association of Artisan Artists (ACAA) and the Provincial Council of Visual arts (CPLAP), granted the prize to Jorge Pulido Alvarez, Edel Alejandro Fonseca, Camilo González, Gerardo Gómez Fábregas and Anelí Pupo Rodríguez.
