CAMAGÜEY.- The gallery Julián Morales, in the seat of the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (Uneac), presents the collective exposition entitled Women: No more no less!, on purpose of the days for the national culture.
It displays watercolors of the late Caridad Hernández Carlo, paintings of Yolanda Ulloa, Alejandrina Silvera and Katisleivys Sedeño, a print on canvas of Jenny Hernández and photographs of Yelenis Lucas and Genis Gamboa.
Jorge Santos Caballero was the curator in charge of the museography and the words for the catalog, where he states that “we cannot look for an artistic sensationalism in what is exhibited, or that the creations displayed generate a threat for male artists”.
Then he adds: “if anything, the exhibitors try to countersign with their making, the exercise of their daily work, of their will to advertise that they had previously premeditated”.
Also for the Days for Cuban Culture, the Uneac in Camagüey promotes the concert of Liudmila Pardillo, on Friday October 18, at 5:00 p.m., in the Concert Hall José Marín Varona.
