The Government of Canada has decided to reduce its staff in Havana and adjust its mission programs, citing the protection of its diplomatic staff, who were allegedly affected by acoustic incidents in the Cuban capital.

The Government of Canada has taken the decision to designate its Embassy in Havana as an unaccompanied family mission; as a result, it has been stated, of the symptoms of health problems reported by some of its diplomats in 2017.
