Florida's citizen Elena María Obregón Navarro deserved the 2022 Living Memory Award in the category of Personalities, a recognition granted by the Juan Marinello Cuban Institute of Cultural Research.

 Collecting and living accompanied by dolls was Maso's leitmotif, an old woman who, at 84 years of age, caught the eye of Rogelio Enrique Loret de Mola López del Castillo. Casa de Muñecas (House of Dolls) was born from that meeting, the second personal exhibition of the young photographer, opened at the Alejo Carpentier Gallery in Camagüey.

The double play of Keiter Castllo

He is not a baseball fan, but he hit a double play with the bases loaded and in front of an overflowing stadium. In the previous year's edition of the Audiovisual Show El Almacén de la Image, Cuban and foreign participation, conquered with his best friend, Henry de Armas, the award called pitching, in the animation category, and in the most recent appointment of the event, he individually obtained the award in this type of recognition, consisting of receiving financing for filming.

A gesture lived as a family

The pain was inevitable. Hurricane Ian brought a lot of devastation to national territory, shaking the lives of many people after total collapses, floodings, crop damages, and human losses. However, once again, Cuba rises to face the catastrophe with solidarity and love. Professionals and workers from all over are joining forces to improve the living conditions for those most in need. These anonymous heroes have the support of their families, who are patiently waiting for their fathers, brothers, and sons to return home after accomplishing their task.

Response to contest Emilio Ballagas 2022 in the short story grows

The 28th edition of the Emilio Ballagas National Award 2022, dedicated to short stories, received 27 works and the result will be made public on November 7th, the 114th anniversary of the birth of the Camagüey's author who identifies the contest.
