The people of the municipality of Sierra de Cubitas celebrated this Monday the 69th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks, in Santiago de Cuba, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, in Bayamo, that July 26, 1953, which marked the beginning of the last and definitive stage of the struggle of Cubans for sovereignty.
