The Council of State, at the proposal of its, agreed to promote to the position of vice-president of the Council of Ministers Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Bachelor of Economics, who served since 2008 as First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Ciego de Ávila and from September 2012 in Camagüey.

In view of the regrettable loss of human life and material damage caused by Hurricane Dorian as it passed through the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, I extend to you our most heartfelt condolences, which I convey through you to the Bahamian people and to the families of the victims.
