Although the budget decreases with regard to 2014, due to the fact that the investment process was concentrated fundamentally on the maintenance of the unit 6 of the thermoelectric plant "Diez de Octubre", there is registered an increase of the works inscribed in the plan, among which appears the continuation of the works in the above mentioned generator.

It was confirmed by Danny García Miranda, director of Economic planning in Nuevitas, who told that in 2015 is executed the repair of the Polytechnical School "Mario Herrero Toscano", the completion of 28 houses, objects of work to improve the infrastructure of the tourist resort of Santa Lucia and the recovery of the south road of this community, which joins to the actions that there has the direction of the Unit of Communal Services for the rehabilitation of highways in the head municipality and some rural areas.

García Miranda mentioned that of equal form, constructive maintenance is being developed in the Company of Port Services Centro-Este, in the completion of the warehouse 9 and the reestablishment of the crane Porch 2 and other works to guarantee the connectivity by train, while the cement Factory "26 de Julio" has approved the investment for its technological and not technological devices and the modernization of the system of the stove, which is in phase of signing of the contract.

In the salt plant, "El Real" will continue the support of the same one, the cardinal tanks repair in the Terminal 520 of Fuels, which accumulate many years of service since they were installed and, as one of the works that responds to the expositions of the population, is the reconstruction of the ancient head office of the Local government -the Town Hall- kicked off in April and that will continue until 2016.
