CAMAGÜEY.- Camagüey hosted, starting Monday, December 23, the 18th Young Creators Fair “Golpe a Golpe”, a cultural event that celebrates 18 years of socio-community work by the organizing group.
With a program rich in activities that include exhibitions, courses, book presentations, concerts, and spaces for reflection, the fair will also pay tribute to the social commitment that has characterized the “Golpe a Golpe” project for almost two decades.
This space, which has established itself as a meeting point for youth, will be a farewell to 2024 full of art, dialogue and reflection, Yunielkis Naranjo Guerra, director of the Sociocultural Project “Golpe a Golpe”, told Adelante.
The fair, dedicated to figures and dates such as the 98th anniversary of the birth of Fidel Castro, the 66th anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, and the 38th anniversary of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), will run until the 29th.
The opening took place this Monday at 9:00 p.m. at the Café Literario “La Comarca”, where, Xavier Guerra Carmenates, president of the AHS in Camagüey, welcomed the fair.
However, in the morning, artists from Golpe a Golpe held a massive blood donation at the Café Literario La Comarca; and at 5:30 p.m. the opening of a retrospective exhibition of Nazario Salazar, an Honorary Member of the AHS, was announced at the Mira Gallery.
In the evening, those attending the opening ceremony will be able to enjoy a concert by the duo Dulce Kpricho, accompanied by other guests from the music section of the AHS.
Among the highlights of the program is the panel on the cultural exchange between Cuba and Chile, scheduled for Saturday, December 28th at 1:30 p.m. at the Café Literario “La Comarca.” This space will bring together the protagonists of the experience: Yoandra Santana, Evelin Queipo, Harold Díaz, and Yunielkis Naranjo.
In addition, on Wednesday the 25th at 9:30 a.m., a panel titled “Youth in the artistic creation of today’s Cuba” was held, with the participation of writer Rosabel Pi, actor Javier del Toro, and musicologist Heidy Cepero.
The closing ceremony, scheduled for Sunday the 29th at 9:00 p.m., will be a cultural gala that will combine local talent with the participation of members of the AHS, marking a memorable close to this celebration of creative youth.
