CAMAGÜEY.- The Provincial Council of the Performing Arts offers several attractive proposals this summer of 2024 for lovers of dance, theater, and humor.

The Areíto Circus premieres its show Aplausos at the Teatro Principal. The first performances this weekend had great support from an audience eager for juggling and acrobatics that, although they are presented throughout the year, for some time now they have always reserved surprises for the summer season.

Next weekend, from Friday the 12th to Sunday the 14th, and that day with a double feature at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., lovers of circus art will continue to indulge.

The premiere of the piece The Girl and the Elephant for the enjoyment of the little ones at home next Saturday, July 13th, is the stage proposal of the Guiñol Theater directed by Jesús Vidal Rueda Infante. The show will remain on the billboard on the 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th at five in the afternoon and on the 14th, 21st, and 28th in the morning.

A concert program will be presented to the public by the Ballet of Camagüey under the baton of teacher Regina María Balaguer Sánchez, on July 19 and 20 at 8:30 p.m. as well as Sunday the 2nd, at 5:30 p.m. in the Principal Theater.

This institution will also visit several municipalities in the province.

Special guests will be the Havana group Teatro del Arca at the Avellaneda Theater on July 26th, 27th, and 28th at seven at night, while on August 9th, 10th, and 11th the same space will host the presentation of the Cuban Theater Company of Magic.

The day of humor will extend from August 16th to 18th with the presentation of several groups from the country belonging to the Humor Promotion Center, from the Coliseum on Padre Valencia Street and the Avellaneda Theater.

The Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey will not be absent from the summer programming and will conquer the stage of the Teatro Principal on Wednesday, August 3rd, and Thursday, August 4th at 8:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively, led by teacher Reinaldo Echemendía Estrada.

Completing the schedule, the popular Circo Areíto returns with a circus variety show on August 23rd, 24th, and 30th at 8:30 p.m., as well as on Sunday the 25th and Saturday the 31st at five in the afternoon.
