CAMAGÜEY.- Teatro del Viento invites to the celebration of its 20 years with a photographic sample and the premier of a documentary, on November 21 at 9:00 p.m. at its seat, in the Cultural Center José Luis Tasende, in this city.

El viento en una isla (The wind in an island) is the title of the set of photographs displayed in the gallery Jesús Ruiz, at the entrance of the Tasende theater, that will show important moments of this group founded by Freddys Núñez Estenoz in June 1999.

Then it will take place the premier of the audiovisual Tocando el viento (Touching the wind) by the filmmakers Pepe Fornet and Keiter Castillo, who searched the testimony of members, relatives and other people involved with this group worthy of the critic’s choice award.

“For 20 years Teatro del Viento has developed, through creation, a work that challenges this fleeting act and that tries to activate something that is beyond that complicit moment where spectator-spectacle dialogue in a zone of reciprocal exchange, where they tribute over and over again their most elemental needs. To recognize oneself in that act of provocation and reflexion that is the scene itself”, wrote Freddys Núñez on his Facebook wall.

Teatro del Viento will complete the celebration period with the staging for the first time in Camagüey of the play Hombre en el horizonte (Man in the horizon), on November 22 and 23 from 9:00p.m.

Premiered at ends of October in the theater Eddy Suñol, in the city of Holguín, this play by Freddys Núñez tales the three stories united by the sea and a fisherman.
