CAMAGÜEY.- For the children of the film club Elpidio Valdés, summer has a special proposal. The project The Alley of Miracles is responsible for the event “Know your city”. This will enlighten them to know, along with their parents, the city where they live using creatively mobile devices of their available resources.

The main objective of the program is linking the environment and the technology, proving that the latter contributes to the familiarization with the emblematic sites of the territory, where history will encourage the learning process of children.

The activities to be developed on Saturdays, from July 6th to August 17th, include visits to The Model of the city of Camagüey, a tour on the Train that will offer a general view of the city, walks in the Plaza del Carmen, Plaza de San Juan de Dios and the Provincial Museum. They shall also attend to a play of the Puppet Theater and at the end of each day, a film will be screened at the 3D projection room from the audiovisual complex Nuevo Mundo.

For conclusions, the screening of a documentary made with the video compilation that children and their parents have documented of their experiences through the creative use of technology is expected.

In addition, the Audiovisual Complex Nuevo Mundo, the project site, has prepared other activities that will brighten up the holiday season. Some of these are QR Gallery exhibits from Gustavo Linares, Poll Murray and Victor Elpidio Huerta; as well as showing films, cinema debates and the usual cyber-gatherings.
