HAVANA.- In Venezuela, the independence and sovereignty of all is being defined today in addition to the validity of international law and that is why we support the process of that country, said Bruno Rodriguez, Cuba´s Minister of Foreign Affairs, when exercising his right to vote in the constitutional referendum.

Rodriguez also told the press that nobody in the world can believe that Cuba is part of an axis of evil associated with terrorism because no one can´t, unilaterally, arbitrarily and unfairly, make lists or give certifications when the UN General Assembly has clear positions on this matter.

Cuba, which has been victim of terrorism with 3,478 dead and 2,099 disabled people, has a very meritorious role in the fight against terrorism and cooperation with other countries including the United States itself, added the diplomat.

He explained that there is a regrettable and unfortunate setback in relations between the two countries because a fundamentalist and extremist clique has a decisive influence on policy towards Cuba, amid a great disorder of politics in that nation, which has been questioned from the American right-wing itself.

Nonetheless, the minister specified that cooperation remains in areas such as law enforcement, national security and immigration, and he was confident that the American people will make prevail their growing majority, which supports the lifting of the blockade in favor of full normalization of relations.
