LA HABANA.-The arrival to the first million international travelers to Cuba reaffirms the recognition reached by the tourism of the biggest of the Antilles like a destination of peace and safety, despite the alerts of trip expressed by the Department of the North American State.

Such a result, which is achieved four days later with regard to similar date of 2017, has been possible in the middle of stocky campaigns organized and directed by the government of the USA to hinder the flow of American visitors to the Cuban archipelago; communicated the department of the industry without smoke.

On Monday, March 5, the Department of the State formulated a new trip alert against Cuba, alleging the supposed incidents happened in the last months in which there were involved officials of the North American embassy in Havana.

Nevertheless, months of investigations of both parts have not contributed one single evidence that demonstrates the occurrence of the above mentioned events.

To spend a holiday in the Cuban nation remains prohibited by law for the American citizens, principal issuing tourists market for the Caribbean Sea.

The press release of the Department of Tourism specified that they keep on marking rule in the visitors' emission to the Caribbean country Canada and the habitual European markets (France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia and Spain), to which Mexico and Argentina join.

In the communiqué, is emphasized that the first million of foreign vacationers reached Cuba in spite of the strong damages provoked by the hurricane Irma, in September, 2017.

The tourism has lived through an ascending increase in the last years in this destination, which received in 2017 a record of about four million 700 thousand foreign visitors.

The leisure industry ratified, also, the past calendar as one of the fundamental actors of the growth of the Cuban economy.
