During the balance of the arrangements and suffrages for delegates of the municipal assemblies of the Peoples´ Power, Rubén Pérez Rodríguez, vice-president of the National Electoral Commission (CEN), in the provincial capital, showed that Camagüey with 90.8 % of the assistance to the ballot boxes and the quality of the valid vote, not only executed a superior electoral process but was highlighted in the country, and added that out of the seven provinces attended until this Friday by him, it is recognized like that of better quality presented, with achievements and shortcomings, whose negative experiences -it stressed- must be born in mind not to repeat in future processes.

The meeting was celebrated in the Center of Events Santa Cecilia and headed by Isabel González Cárdenas, president of the Provincial Assembly and Mariano Basulto Pérez, president of the Provincial Electoral Committee.

Nevertheless, the province, in the first and second turn exceeded the national participation average and in the low per cent of blank ballots and annullated ones, ratified the quality of the suffrages, in which over half of the delegates of the previous term was again elected.

The report of balance presented by Luel García Lorenzo, secretary of the CEP, revealed shortcomings in the coordination work with the organizations of masses in the block, nonperformance of the orientations for the review and organizational flaws in the offices of the identity card, which reverberated in the high number of falls of the lists of electorate and the final inclusion -during the votings- of over 25 439 persons.
