CAMAGÜEY.- The party of the May 1st., although virtual, will not cool down the motivations of the Cuban Workers' Center to stimulate groups, personalities, and those who, from their multiple obligations, contributed to making more Cuba, with an indelible concept: unity.
The SARS-CoV-2 forced to rearrange goals and projects, but the simple heroics of these times will not be set aside, although the health emergencies due to the aggressive virus impose restrictions, which, if you want, prints more symbolism.
The Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte is not physically full, but it is home to the hundreds of people from Camagüey who, year after year, have reaffirmed, with firm steps, the will to continue weaving the Revolution.
There is no parade, but we have the Anthem that moves and drives us, and Fidel's essential concept of Revolution, which made us more Cubans and more patriots, as well as the eternal gratitude with roses to our distinguished figure, El Mayor.
For the outstanding results in the tough months of 2021, nine entities will have the deserved recognition: the companies of Edible Oils and Fats, of Service to the Sugar Agroindustry (ESazúcar), of Automotive Technical Review, of Maintenance of Fuel Oil Generating Sets, of Santa María City Tourism, of Technical, Personal and Home Services, Copextel and the EMI Ignacio Agramonte.
These have been days full of emotions, due to the contact with the Labor Heroes of the Republic of Cuba, the voluntary work, the delivery of the National Vanguard flags to various groups, and the Labor Prowess to Health entities, of various sectors that have served as isolation centers, hotels and others linked to the confrontation with COVID-19.
The National Association of Innovators and Rationalizers reached its first 45 years immersed in important tasks, and special attention was paid to the six decades of the glorious victory in the Matanzas sands of Playa Girón. Recognitions were also given to union leaders with 5, 10, 15 and more years in the performance of these functions, and did not escape when making the approach to History.
More than 500 voluntary blood donations were made in the province, an altruistic gesture that allows us to dispose of the vital liquid for the care of patients who require it in our healthcare centers.
Cuba does not fill this May 1st. the streets, but overflows them with a growing desire to grow, to enforce the justice that drives our Socialism under construction. Let's go slow. There is no rush. Brick by brick, our building has withstood the harsh attacks of the enemy, determined to bring us down. We are a determined David. And that is not understood by the devilish Goliath.
We did not go to the streets, but the colors, the enthusiasm, the commitment fill the virtual spaces; symbolically the arteries are saturated with the rhythmic rhythm of the congas, the very Cuban embrace of the old colleagues with whom we fraternized in the parade, and the cry of patriotic love that reminds the adversary that Cuba neither surrenders nor sells, that it advances beaten by limitations, inspired by the dignity of a grown people.
The Square does not have the bustle of other years, but from workstations and from home, this May 1st. is celebrated, it is enjoyed, it stands as a sign that we will maintain our social project based on a solid unity, a challenge to continue dreaming, and a permanent invitation to make Cuba.
