CAMAGÜEY.- The spacious warehouses of the railway express service, located on Francisquito an Rosario Streets, have become an open window for the distribution of merchandise to the municipalities and an effective alternative to save fuel since the automotive transport represents an excessive waste.

Camagüey is the only territory in the country to implement, to this day, the adaptation of the shipments of all sorts, seizing the departure of trains, experience retaken from the critical special period that suits us to face the energetic emergency and as a possibility that should remain facing future.

 This program started on September 16 and from it, it was derived the shipment of eggs for Santa Cruz del Sur and later on, other loads with footwear, construction materials, soft drinks, vinegar, among other food products, until reaching the number of over 60 tons moved, according to an information provided by the Temporary Transport Group of the People’s Power Provincial Assembly.

 Nuevitas, Minas, Esmeralda, Santa Cruz del Sur are the territories that have been guaranteed for these movement of products through the cruising of trains and, as soon as the service in Bayamo is reinstated, Sibanicú and Guáimaro will be favored. Excepting Najasa and Jimaguayú that do not have railways and the solution will have to be different, the rest of the municipalities are looking for local alternatives.

 The express drivers are responsible for the timely transportation of the merchandise they deliver to the customers authorized to receive this sort of dispatch in large amounts.

 The Commerce Business Group confirmed that they are going to maintain the input rotation cycle in their warehouses and they will bring in the brewery Tínima, the Food Products Wholesale Company, their main costumer, coffee, tobacco, cigars and the Confectioner with the production of long pastas.
