CAMAGÜEY.- The Camagüey´s palace of the maternity is almost ready. It will take for name Maternal Hearth Clodomira Acosta. Located in the street Passage B, between Horca and Medio this constructive work is included inside the program for the 505 years of founded of the Town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe.

Elcides Pérez Hernández, vice-president of the organ of the administration of the municipality Camagüey, highlighted the local´s practical value: "It will be a place with all the conditions and very necessary, since the Maternal Hospital is not sufficient for all the Camagüey´s pregnant women”.

In the first part of the investment, of more than 600 000 pesos, places were enabled for 35 beds destined for the pregnant women of the whole province. The second stage of the project foresees to come to 70 capacities, with financing that to a great degree runs for 1 % of the territorial tax.

In what it was a school, the classrooms turned into six cubicles, a laundry, places for infirmary, consultations and a spacious dining room that can offer service to 40 persons. In a third stage, which depends on relocating three families that live in the surroundings, it is dreamed to reach 100 beds.

As part of the plan for 505 anniversary of the Town, it is worked in several rooms of the provincial hospitals and it is being recovered three drugstores, works that give solution to popular opinions.
